Yes Equality Civil Marriage Equality Campaign, Ireland
2015
The YesEquality campaign was brought forward by a coalition of GLEN, The Gay and Lesbian Equality Network, Marriage Equality and the ICCL, The Irish Council for Civil Liberties. The goal was to encourage people to register to vote and have their voices heard. The Campaign for Civil Marriage Equality was a nationwide campaign working to secure a Yes vote in the Marriage Equality Referendum on May 22nd. And that is exactly what happened in May 2015 when Ireland became the first country in the world to vote Yes for Marriage Equality by popular vote. It was a real honour for me to be involved in the Yes Equality Limerick Campaign Committee in 2015 and through knocking on doors, organising fundraising events and Open Discussion Evenings we secured one of the largest County Yes Votes in Ireland.
CHARITY ABSEIL
THOMOND PARK STADIUM
Here is in the office we like to come up with unique ideas and often propose events or activities that have never been done before. This was true for a fundraising event for Self Help Africa and Marriage Equality where we organised the first ever abseil down the side of Limerick’s iconic Thomond Park Stadium.
Alot of brave people took part on a sunny day in Limerick include Batman!
